Code Generation 2008 groundwork in place
With Code Generation 2007 a distant memory our thoughts have now turned to Code Generation 2008 which takes place from June 25th-27th in Cambridge again.
We spent a few hours last Wednesday putting together the new web site for the conference: http://www.codegeneration.net/conference/. We’re still waiting for some graphics for the site so it may look a little odd but we thought it was best to get the page online as soon as possible.
There’s also not much to see there yet but the site will be developed as the event gradually takes shape and for now it can act as a destination for anyone kind enough to link to the event. (This means you!)
Last Wednesday also saw me at Homerton College checking out the new rooms we plan to use for the 2008 conference. These would enable us to have a slightly larger audience than we could manage for 2007’s event. We haven’t decided for sure that the event will be there but participants at Code Generation 2007 did rate the venue very highly.
One other change we’re making for Code Generation 2008 is that I am aiming to be slightly less involved in putting the event programme together as I’ve recruited a number of willing volunteers to help review any session proposals we receive.
More details of the event to follow…
