Variant management for automotive systems

I’m giving a talk on variant management on 28th June at the 3rd IET Conference on Automotive Electronics.

In 2 million options are not enough I’ll talk about the general problem of managing the development of product variants and then illustrate this with a couple of examples from the automotive sector:

  • An engine-management systems supplier who wishes to reduce configuration times for their Simulink model variants
  • A vehicle manufacturer who wants to reuse requirements across their specifications for different infotainment system variants.

The conference takes place at the University of Warwick, Coventry, UK from 28th - 29th June. One and two day registration options are available.
