Embedded Development - Two million Options Aren’t Enough

Blogged under Automotive, Embedded, Product Lines, Software by Mark Dalgarno on Tuesday 6 March 2007 at 8:03 am

I’ll be giving a short talk at the next Embedded Masterclass to be held in Cambridge on May 3rd.

‘Two million Options Aren’t Enough’, will look at how variant management can address problems caused by the need to develop an increasing number of software and system variants. The title comes from a quote by a Daimler Chrysler executive on the need for more customization options for their luxury Maybach model.

We participated in the Automotive Embedded Masterclass back in November 2005 and it was quite fun. Rather than just focussing on a specific industry segment this time the agenda looks at technology that can accelerate development - helping engineers get better products to market faster.

If you are an embedded engineer or a manager in a technology company, then there is no cost to attend. If you do attend then come and say hello - we also have a stand there and will be demonstrating pure::variants - a specialist toolset for variant management.
